Strength in Numbers for Doobie Brothers & Chicago
Outstanding show. Great entertainment provided by Doobie Brothers, even though they played a few songs too many from their upcoming new CD. Some of the old stuff was missing. I really enjoyed songs that were not their hits, especially the song from Captain & Me. Chicago was superb as well, though I was curious how many of the "original" members were still in the band. Probably the veterans were the spokesmen for the band, and with the exception of Robert Lamm, I had no clue as to who they were. Overall, their show was great, and I really enjoyed the first song medley from a very old Chicago album. A few too many "top 40" songs, but overall solid. When the two bands combined for Rocking Down the Highway, Free, Listen to the Music, and 25 or 6 to 4, the highlight of the show was unbelievable. Very enjoyable show with an ending.
